Default Flex vs solid

I have searched the forum and have seen that the brake lines between the master cylinder and the ABS pump are not easy to find. The front line is available but I have not been able to find the rear. Junkyards seem to just snip the line for easy access to the ABS pump. Exploring Facebook marketplace for a parts truck is frustrating, between no replies and the wrong parts.
So I have two questions PLEASE.
I have a 2008 F150 Xl with the 4.2 6 cylinder. are the two brake lines mentioned above the same for other 2004-2008 F150s or do I need to find ONLY a 4.2 6 cylinder.
My neighbor said he will do the repair but will use a solid line. the lines in the truck now have a flex section before the ABS pump. will using a solid line be OK

thank you too much. I hope to hear a reply since my truck has been sitting for two weeks.

What I usually did was that new copper colored brake line, put a coiled bit in the middle somewhere for flexibility, and put my own ends on. There also might be a hydraulic line company near you that could clone your lines. A friend was working on a clutch line on a Honda Goldwing that was hundreds at the dealer, but had one made for under $50.

+1 for double flaring your own lines and making a few small coils for the flexability
Use steel brake line
Copper anodized is okay and the green stuff too as long as it is steel
