First thing to replace after 100k miles??
Just recently bought a 2008 4x4 Crew with the 5.4. Has101k miles. Sitting at the mechanic for a tune up and checkup. My question is for those that have this engine. If I were to pick one thing to replace proactively while there what would it be? Water pump? Fuel pump? Oil Pump? I understand past maintenance makes a difference. This truck will be used mostly for driving back and forth to our farm and on the farm. Reliability is my main concern as I don’t want to be stranded deep in the woods one day.

Plugs if they aren't already part of the tune up being performed.
FPDM possible if it's still the original one. Check it for corrosion.
Belt is usually always inspected during tune up, but you never know. Replace if work or cracked.

The rest of the stuff are not maintenance items. Not even 'preventative' maintenance.
The cost of parts and labor is quite a bit for each of the other things -hardly worth it to leave it at a shop 1) down time and 2) expense preventatively. The expense is already happening, as is the downtime, IF the parts fail on you.
