Default First leg of our trip is done.

So yesterday we set out for our move from idaho to alabama. drove for about 9 hours and made it to denver, it was around 600 miles. and the truck handeled it like a champ. wasnt sure how it would do with our trailor being as packed as you could get it. for the most part my evo was saying i was getting about 14 mpg but it usually high by about 1-2mpgs so really it was around 12 but thats better then what i thought i would be getting. trans temp never went over 160 so that pretty good too. the rest of the trip will be quite a bit easier after getting out of the terrible hills of wyoming. a question i do have is what shold my tire pressure be. in town i usually have it around 35-40, so they are a little soft, i went up to 45 yesterday to try to help my mpgs out. they are a 35 inch toyo mt. already have spent about 190 in gas so far (91 octane) and still got about 1400 miles to go.

Look at what the max pressure rating is on the side of the tire and air to that. The ride will definitely be stiffer, but it should help the mpg a bit.

I have to agree with ak_cowboy when hauling a load max pressure.
I usually don't run max to get a better paw print but under a load air up.
Better ride and stability.

Try 45psi in the front and around 55-60 psi in the rear or more if the trailer is heavy.
