Default finally got my HIDS installed

9008(h13) 5k single beam. got em from busycarguy on ebay, super cool seller with super fast shipping. i had the ballasts already. it took me about 30 min to install both of them. i grounded the ballast to the truck itself instead using the stock headlight ground. made more sense to me.

compared to my 65 watt 9005 foglight bulbs lol

I am so pissed about my hids. I got them from endlesscarparts on ebay and got the ballasts with single beam bulb(regret) for $60. I guess you get what you pay for because the bulbs flicker constantly and when temp is below 60 one of the bulbs wont fire without turning the lamps off and on repeatedly. I really hope you don't have the same proplems. But they do look sweet! Congrats!

hmm i had that problem at first, but the other set of ballasts i have had a 50w output wereas these have a 35 watt for a 35watt bulb. might wana check into that. yea i didnt know i could run hi/lo kit off of a single beam ballast or i would have gotten those bulbs. o well.

oh ok good deal then, oh and btw flickering with hids happens when you don't have a relay installed. hids can't get enough power through the stock wiring. or if you have a relay and they still flicker then it's usually the ballast
