Default Fenderwell Material?

Hi All,
I hope someone can shed some light on a material I am looking for my truck. I am perplexed why Ford didn’t put more coverage material in the wheel well to protect water, mud from spraying up in the engine bay. I enclosed a pic of what am talking about. Give me some feedback if there are some kits out there, or suggested material I can use.
Thx,
Dan (07 Screw)
The original fender material in the pic is marked with an X, and the area I want to cover is circled in GREEN,

I can't see the pic but I have an idea. Try some kind of medium rubber sheets. As far as fastening them up where u want it is up to you. Is use washers and self rappers. Home Depot sells the rubber sheets. Buddy used them for gap guards once. It's on a big roll and u can cut to shape
