Default Feeling sluggish..

She's feeling a little sluggish or perhaps delayed when I step on the skinny pedal. The truck doesn't have that quickness anymore from when I step on the gas to the truck accelerating and downshifting to the proper gear. I hope I am describing this well to you all here. Another way of telling it to you would be that when I get on it, there is almost a hesitation or delay or pause until the truck reacts to my foot hitting the gas. Not a long one, maybe one second.. two the most before the truck takes off. This doesn't happen every time, mostly when the truck is still in the 'cold state' before getting to the proper temperature and here n there after the truck has been on the road for a bit. Could it be a spark problem?? Fuel filter issue?? I'm not really for sure to be honest, that is why i am asking for a bit of help and some two cents on this. Maybe someone else has had this same problem or is also experiencing it too.

The truck just hit the 68K mark. (2006 Lariat 5.4L auto)

Thanks in advance. Good night as well..
