Long story short, started having issues with truck running bad, shutting off after motor gets warm/hot and heard a weird ticking noise

Changed the following:
Plugs but not coils
VCT solenoid
Both Cam Sensors
Crankshaft Sensor

Ticking went away after changing VCT solenoid. Same issue with truck shutting off. Last code was something weird. Dont remember the code # but was something about taxed something or another. Sorry I havent ran it again to get the code again.

Any suggestions??
