Default Fdpm ?

well when i was putting the spare tire on my truck after one of my brand new 35's split a side wall . i looked at the fdpm and it was cracked and bent in half and corroded to hell. what does it do i know people have problems with them but my truck runs fine. just wondering if i should order that too along with a new tire...

Replace it now before it causes problems. Most of the time they just fail and leave you on the side of the road. Sometimes, however, they cause $$$$ in damage on the way out. Ask me how I know.

Huffy, what tire blew out the sidewall? I'm sure you're getting it replaced for free, but that could have ended very horrific. Remember the firestone incidents in the 90's?

And postal, how did it cost you money? Just stopped working and you needed a shop to fix it when you were out of town?

it happened when i was pulling out of my buddys drive way and the side wall clipped wood edging he has around it and put a hole the size of a quarter in it. I'm pretty jacked off that a mud terrain tire can't handle that but thats life lol
