Default Factory subwoofer

I recently purchased an 05 F150. So far I love it, but I do question whether the factory subwoofer is working. Anyone know how to get it open, so I can check it out? Are there any known issues with it.....aside from just being stock? I just ordered a Pioneer head unit for the truck, and want to get the best sound out of the stereo....

Thanks!

Mine works fine. To tell if it's working, just turn your bass up on your head unit. On my aftermarket head unit I had to play with the equalizer settings, but they put out a good thump so just turn up your music with the bass turned up, and then with it off, you should be able to tell pretty easily.

Underneath the driver's side back seat. Unfortunately there's no room underneath to store anything because of it but it works real well for being stock

out of curiosity, what is the wattage on the stock sub amp?

is it strong enough to drive an aftermarket sub?

mine thumps nicely for stock, not really complaining...
