Factory Sub and Factory Stereo
So I bought a 2007 F-150 STX model. It had 5,000 on when I bought it, not the point.
After having it over a year my bother and I where discussing putting a aftermarket sub in it. Well me being stupid and never looking into it we discoved there is a factory sub in it, but it doesn't work, we check the fuses and anything else we could do without pulling the unit apart.
When I bought it, it was having stereo problems, it was on warrenty, so I get the stereo replaced (a 6 cd-changer).
It's still on warrenty so I went to take it in today but they want to keep it for a day and I don't have the time. I decided to check it out myself and pulled the stereo out and noticed there was one plug not plugged in, but there isn't a slot for it on the unit.
Did I get screwed over when they replaced the stereo? Did they give me a lower grade stereo that I didn't notice?
Or is there something I can do to get the subwoofer hooked up?
Thanks for any help.

There should be three plugs on the back of the radio. The smallest plug being for the factory sub woofer. If it is not on the back of the radio then..you should go back and ask for the CORRECT radio to be installed. You could hook it up with a line converter but I wouldn't spend any of your time or money on something should have been fixed with the WARRANTY replacement. Now that you know what you need make sure when you go back to tell them that you need a radio with the factory sub output on it.

I didn't get it hooked up, they told me they can't prove that was the type of stereo in there when I got it. Then they said they want to keep it for half a day, and it's the only vehical I own, I can't let go of it for a day because of my job. After the trouble I went through getting a unit to work in it, I'm just going to leave them alone.
The warrenty is almost up, I'm going to do something to it myself, and maybe replace the whole system, since I was planning on it anyhow.
