F150 will not start.
So a while back I blew my cigarette lighter fuse. I went to autozone yesterday, bought some fuses and changed it. #41, a 20 amp mini fuse. I didn't touch any other fuse. Afterwards, I go to start the truck and the gauges work, but no, start. The truck will not turn over. I had them check the battery(which is brand new) it's of course good.
I went back over every fuse in the fuse box. All of them are good. I switched around some of the relays, to check them no change. No anti theft light, however not only will it NOT turn on, no fuel pump clicking on either. I decided to change the ignition switch just in case, again no change.
No fire is getting to the key wire of the starter. I crossed it across the solenoid with the key in the on position, it turns over, but it won't crank and the key will not start it.
I am at wits end, but in the end I'm guessing it is the PATS system, which would explain no starting or fuel.
Any one else have any ideas? It actually is at the stealership getting diagnosed. I have owned this truck since 2007. It's a 2004 F150 4.6, 2wd. I have ALWAYS done my own repairs, and fixes. This is the first issue it has ever had.
Any thoughts as to what is wrong?
Thanks in advance
Ricky
Also on a side note, I pastidip'ed the emblems and used pastidip on the cowl and bed rails, installed the 22" rims that I bought from another member here, installed the American Tonneau cover and she looks pretty good.
