I am not an expert on F150 rear ends, but is this a stock rear end in the truck?




I ask this because my mechanic question if it was a F250?

 

Looks like the 9.75" to me..it has 12 bolts holding the cover on...definately not the 8.8"..and i think i see a 9 75 on the rear tag anyway.

Yes the tag says 9 75 on it. Ok so what does that mean too me? Is it F150 or F250?

 

The f150 used the 8.8 or 9.75 as stock. The f250 uses the 10.5"..but you could get the 10.5 in the f150 with the HD option. This option was only in the reg cab/supercab longbox configuration. It came with 4.10 gears and 7 lug 17" wheels. My 05 had this option.
