Would i be able to replace my am/fm radio with one that has a CD player in it with no problem??

No problems at all. If you have a rear seat, you may want to consider the radio that has the audiophile capability. That way you could add the factory sub (audiophile). If you decide to go that route, verify your truck is pre-wired to make the sub install a "plug and play".

However, you can still install one of these radios without installing the sub. The rest of the radio will work just fine. Some if not all of the same year Mustang radios will install into the 2004 to 2008 trucks as well. In my 2005 STX, I have a radio that came out of a Mustang; it has the 6 CD changer, MP3, and audiophile options. Since I have a standard cab, the sub (audiophile) is not pre-wired, and of course there's no back seat to mount the factory sub up against. I'm not sure if Ford made a sub package for the standard cabs.

Easy as cake....make sure you get the harness for a few extra $ so you do not have to cut the OEM harness at all.
