Default F150 headers and exhaust system

I have a 2007 F150 FX2 extended cab pickup and I bought it primarily for highway driving, that is actually the only reason I got a two wheel drive. I do want to make some changes. The first change is the exhaust system. I want to buy a system that fits the vehicle with minimum or no modifications, it does have to provide great performance though, I don’t want to just settle for a system because of price. In addition I don’t want to overpay either. I need recommendations on the best headers and exhaust system to buy for my vehicle.

Use the search feature dude.. lol there's PLENTY of exhaust threads ahaha
and about "great performance" from just an exhaust, that's not gonna happen
this is how I look at it and it's true you have..
1.cheap
2.reliable
3.fast

if you want to be cheap then it's not going to be reliable
if you want to be fast/reliable then it's not going to be cheap lol

X100 on the search!

I see this is a new mwmber, so welcome aboard! This forum contains hundreds of posts on the best/cheapest/easiest/loudest exhausts, as well as best/worst cold air intakes, programmers, and every other mod for our trucks.
Grab a drink, then click the search button and type in "exhaust". You'll be reading for hours. Then you can make your decision based on what you have read from the opinions.

First u need to get a good tuner for it if u plan on doing headers..... This is what I would do get an sct xcal3 with custom tunes from one of the tuners like vmp, Troyer, Jdm or some one if you want headers there r two expensive sets that being the American racing, dynatech headers, and some decent ones would be the obx headers, the cheap ones would be the pacesetter headers, for exhaust I would do some hi-flo cats and either borla or magnaflow muffles.....I hope this helps and I to have an 07 fx2 extended cab but with the 5.5 ft bed

Best for the money for headers and system:
OBX longtubes or Dynatech. The Dynatechs will be more expensive but are the best. OBX are Dynatech knockoffs but are still a pretty good set up. Whichever you get, send them somewhere or do it yourself for ceramic coating.
Do the rest of the system custom. 2.5" with an X or H for duals/3" with Y for single.
Put a straight through muffler (Borla, Corsa, Magnaflow, Dynomax bullet) and finish it off with the tip and exit location of your choice.
Get a custom tune to compensate for them and you're good to go.
