Default F150 gt500

Will a gt500 engine fit inside a 2004 lightning or 2006 ford f150?

Of course it will fit. Making it work is a matter of time & $$.

Someone has done that on another F-150 forum and literally spent somewhere around the $20,000 range for it.

I believe the 4 valve heads will bolt up to your block. Then different intake manifold timing set timing chain cover valve covers thrilled body PCM or tune. Alot of small stuff that's alot of money

I would just machine your heads and widen the valves. Will save you a lot of money in the long run. Just my .02. Now if you already have the motor or need a new motor then I would say go for it. But just to do it for fun that's where I would say not so smart.
While your at it punch the block out. I believe .060 is the max you can go. Don't bother with a stroker IMO because the engine already have a huge stroke. Then go with forged internals if anything that will lighten the rotating assembly and free up some hoarse power.

That's what I'm gonna do when my motor actually has a few miles on it haha.
