I've read some posts on replacing the 04-08 model badges with the newer truck badges but I'm confused on which one to purchase for the tailgate. Can anyone show me a link or tell me which one to buy so it sits flush on my tailgate. I'll greatly appreciate it, I just need the tailgate badge THANKS!!

 

From what I've read you need the tailgate badge for a flareside.

 

You need the tailgate badge off of a flare side. Flare side tailgates are flat where as fleet side tailgates have contour lines that the badge sits in. Since 04-08 have flat tailgate, newer model flare side will fit perfectly. You can make a newer model fleet side work but you will have to sand the back side flat so it will sit flush.

Does anyone have any recommendations on where to buy the flareside badge? Idk if eBay is detailed enough to list the f150 badge as a "flareside" rather than the other kind.
