F150 4x2 Screw 4.6L voltage increase and decrease
Hello all,
I recently had my alternator replaced when the old one went bad.
Ever since I got the new alternator, the voltage increases and decreases constantly during my commute. It is very noticeable during the night when I have the lights on and can also tell from the dash illumination.
It will oscillate anywhere from roughly 12.3v to 14.3v
What do you think the problem could be?
Thanks,
Z

There's a good chance that it's your "new" alternator. Remanufactured alternators from parts stores are a gamble. Even a brand new one from a dealership can be a lemon. Have it tested.
