Question F-150 on fire

I have a 2006 Ford F 150 XLT 5.4L V8 4X4 with 43,000 miles on it. It has been regularly maintained by the Ford dealership. Yesterday it caught on fire and completely burned sitting in my driveway. It had not been driven or started in a week. There are no recalls for my VIN that Iknow of. Does anyone have any ideas how this could of happened? I am familiar with previous years catching fire due to cruise control, but I have not heard of models after 2004 having this problem.

WOW! That is crazy! Hopefully no damage to your house or other property? I agree with you that it was the previous years that had the possible burning issues. I cant think of anything else that would cause something like that... Do you have any enemies.....? Also please say you had full coverage insurance?

3 more payments and this baby is mine! The house is base housing and damage was minimal. It is fully covered, but I don't think I can get as good a replacement as this one was. A new one is 2X the price that this is valued. I would just like to know what happened. It worries me a little that my wife's car is a 2006 Expedition with the same engine, bought the same day. So if anyone has any info about this, please let me know.

Sorry for your loss. Hopefully insurance can get you a new ford. Is anyone investigating the fire? It could have been the battery

Wow! sorry for your loss buddy....it's hard to tell how it started but it doesn't look like it was the battery judging by the pics... It looks like it could have been a fuel line or maybe arson.... I'm just guessing based upon your pics, but the engine bay/cab fire wall looks to be where it started.

What's it during the night? Chance of arson?
