Default Extremely Low Payload Rating

I have an regular cab 05 XL 4.6 4x4 long bed with the 3.55 gears. I use it on the weekends to carry kayaks or run to the hardware store. Recently I got a decent deal on a 15' travel trailer and thought a couple times a year I could move it with the truck. I figured out the trailer is a little over 4000lbs loaded down so the 6300lbs tow capacity should be fine. After I got it home I started doing some digging on how to tow better and found out I need to not only look at tow rating but also payload capacity. The tongue weight is a little over 500lbs I weight 190lbs and I might have my dog and a kayak so we will call it another 200lbs of stuff. I found the payload sticker and it says that passengers and cargo should not exceed... 38Kg or 629lb! That means I can have 3 guys in the cab and we need to put our lunches in another vehicle? How is it only 629? The VIN on the sticker matches the truck, I thought it may have come from a miata or something. According to ford-trucks.com my spec should be rated at 1760. How am I missing 1100lbs of capacity?

Photo of the sticker? I’ve never seen or heard of a payload that low on any F150 ever.

Is it worn down? 1629 would be a reasonable number.

That's what I thought too but the sticker looks to be in very good shape. This is crazy.

Also this is the page I was referencing for what I thought my payload rating "should" be,

I’ve never seen that. Are you the original owner? Did it have some modifications at one point and was re certified?

I am not the original owner, I am the third. The only modification I am aware of is, there was a ladder rack on it when I got it that I removed. No way it weighed 1100lbs. Everything on it appears to be very stock. I have no idea what to do. I can't imagine this number is correct.

Best thing you can do would be to weigh the truck empty with a full tank of gas and subtract that number from the GVWR. That would give you an idea of the actual payload.

This is what you should do.
That tire sticker clearly is misprinted since the Kg and Lb don't even agree with each other.

Could there be modifications I am unaware of that would lower the GVWR? Or is it as simple as subtract the curb weight from the GVWR and that is it?

Ive never heard of a mod that would lower the GVWR. Subtracting the curb weight from the GVWR should give you a ballpark payload.

I’ve never seen anything like that. Either a misprint, or the truck was somehow, someway altered.
