Extra harness questions
I took apart my radio/climate control area today to install some switches but instead of what I thought was a blank space between my cigarette lighter and backup sensor button, I found a wiring harness plugged in in the center of that black panel. What is this for on trucks that have whatever option it is?
Also, what is required to install adjustable pedals? Is it more work than its worth?

What exactly does that mean? I'm also not sure we're talking about the same wiring. This one is down low right above the ash tray between the cigarette lighter and backup sensor button.

I had mine apart earlier today and also have the harness that plugs into a blank hole. I wanted to know the same thing..the best I come up with is maybe its the harness for the on/off switch for traction control? The adjustable pedal button would be on the left side of the steering wheel if equipped.

What I'm trying to say is that there's a spare connector, all pre-wired for the flow through console in some trucks that don't actually have the console. And it's in the same general area that you're talking about, sorry for the confusion but sometimes it's hard to get across what I mean by using a keyboard!

The harness between the lighter and back up sensor button is for the traction control on/off switch on trucks that have it.
It's pretty easy to add the adjustable pedals as the harness should already be there. All you need a set of motorized pedals and the switch, usually around 150 on eBay. Then it's just a matter of removing 6 bolts and swapping them out.
