I have read mixed reviews on the question I'm about to ask just wondering what everyone's opinion is.

Does adding a tip to an aftermarket exhaust change the sound or is it solely for looks? Let me know what yall think

dont feel bad i was wondering the same thing.. i just installed a Flowmaster 44... and its nowhere near as loud as i think it should be... stock tip..

 

I had a flowmaster 10 series and I had 3in exhaust tips(2) and I cut them off it was very quiet. they make a difference
