Default Exhaust. Something different

Right now, im running a Flowmaster super 44 si/do setup with 4" tips. Obviously you cant beat the sound of a diesel, and i know you wont get it with a gasser. But i like the sound of my truck at idle but its not really loud and doesnt sound the same on the road. What would be the best for a "closer to diesel" sound like a deep drone, but still loud? Sorry if its confusing.

Also, my bud has an 01 cummins with a 6" rolled tip turned slightly down. I like how it looks, and i know its a 2500, but whats the thought on that look. I'm not sure how itd look on an f150, but id like a 5" rolled tip or so turned down slightly. Not sure if i like the dual look anymore. Thoughts?

Maybe like this?

normally i wouldnt go for the tip, especially on the blue truck in the pic.

but on your truck i think you might be able to pull it off.

Well i didnt mean that tip in particular. I listened to some vids, I'm liking the MBRP XP series si/so. The fitment is kinda confusing, but i think itll fit my truck.

I gotcha. I'm still considering going diesel too. they do sound badass. the early model duramaxes without a muffler just sound awesome. So does every cummins and 6.0 powerstroke. I am kind of getting bored of my exhaust sound. It's more noise than it is sound. I don't know
what is the anti-diesel argument?

Thats just straight piped

And Im getting one eventaully, just dad wont let me now cause he thinks i have a great truck and dont need one blah blah, but i like this xp series. And If i dont like that tip they make a 3.5" in 4" out black tip, or magnaflow makes a 3.5" in 5" out tip. check out a vid on this exhaust on the f150

If you live in a place that gets cold you better plan on spending money on additives and keeping it plugged in during the winter. Also repairs on diesel motors are much more then gas motors. There is quite a bit more up keep on a diesel; such as fuel filter replacements quite often, and oil changes will cost your 2x as much. All and all they are a lot more money and you will always be tinkering with them. I've owned 3 cummins, the first two my, '96 and '01, were great trucks but my '06 was a huge pain in the butt that spent more time in the shop then on the road. If you need the power to pull and have the money to burn I'd say go for it; but if you are on a tight budget and don't need the power then don't.
