Default Exhaust Question - Back to Stock?

Hi All - new to the forum here.

Just bought an 05 f150 Supercrew - love the truck but it's got a dual exhaust that sounds great but wakes my kids up every morning when i leave early so it's got to go.

Any idea the easiest\cheapest way to get this thing back to a stock sounding exhaust?

Thanks in advance for any help with this - i know its not the typical direction that people are wanting to go with exhaust - haha

lol if im not mistaken it wont be cheap. you can go to a junk yard and find a muffler for the truck and cut it off youself, chances of finding an OEM muffler is slim.

buying a new OEM style muffler isnt cheap. im pretty sure theyre a bit pricey. youd have to get it from a local dealer im sure. i could be wrong.

you may be able to find an aftermarket exhaust that isnt as loud as what you have now.

do you know whats on it?

You will be able to trade this exhaust very quick if you post an ad on Craigslist. If you live near the guys above, do it. Or, I would try to find mufflers that are the same size as yours that aren't as aggressive.

What mufflers are on the truck right now

I am just north of Cincinnati if anyone is close and interested in trading.

How long is he muffler on your truck? If you get a longer one, it will be a lot quieter.
