Default Exhaust Question

I've got a 2005 F150 w/ 5.4 Triton. I've just added a K&N Cold Air Intake and recently purchased the Edge Evolution. I've been pleased with both and they both added performance. I'm not too educated on exhaust options and you guys seem to be on top of this sort of thing. I'm looking for a performance exhuast system that would help with air flow but I don't want loud pipes. I mean I don't want to wake up the neighor hood coming home and leaving. I would like it to stay near stock when it comes to the sound..What are my options? I would assume I need to buy a kit with a muffler and pipes??

Just to give you guys an idea of my abbility I did get the edge installed and also did the cold air intake myself..Basically if it comes with instructions I'm capable..
Thanks for any replys ahead of time.

thanks for your reply. Now when you say kit I'm guessing thats muffler and exhaust? And what magnaflow kit would be a good option or in other words, whats good for performance and still not loud.

I like any of the magnaflow kits just depends on what you want. I was looking at the side exit one for my truck. You can buy just the muffler and have a shop weld up your exhuast or buy a complete cat back kit from magnaflow.

Yeah magnaflow has the sound level your looking for and I've listened to some clips of the banks kit and it sounds just right too, good airflow not loud at all.

Well, I'm a Flowmaster guy so I'm not much help, but I second the recomendations of Magnaflow. I hear they are relatively quiet, but really help the engine breathe.

Might be just what you're looking for.

Default Borla

I got the borla cat back and love it! It was to quiet for my liking however so i had to add headers, cats and an electronic exhaust cut out! But the system from borla was top notch and I think you would love it!

+1 on Borla. I've bought a couple flowmasters for my mustangs and there is no question that the Borla is top notch in terms of quality.

Magnaflow is good, I have true duals with an X pipe and Magnaflow 14"ers on mine. Sounds good, nice rumble and not obnoxious cruising around town.
