Default exhaust manifold questions

I am about to change my cats on my 04 5.4L, I ordered magnaflow universal cats to replace the front ones as they were 20% the cost of direct bolt ups. My question is, on the exhaust manifold where it bolts up to the exhaust pipe, what are the fasteners used? is it a nut and bolt or a stud? Do I have to be cautious not to break them or can they be easily replaced if snapped? also is there any kind of gasket that goes in between manifold and exhaust pipe?

There is a stud on the exhaust manifold and the pipe is held on with a nut. No gasket, just ball and flange.

They typically dont rust too bad but the passenger side is at a funny angle so you will need some sort of flex socket and make sure it is seating correctly so the nut doesnt round off. Ive rounded off a lot more nuts than I have broken studs, but that being said, a little penetrating oil never hurt.
