Every time I start my truck it has a little rattle for a minute or 2 that sounds like an exhaust leak. When i drive thru residential areas with the windows down it sounds like an exhast leak. I put it in neutral while i was driving and revved a little bit and couldn't hear it so it seems to only do it under load.

any ideas?

Sometimes if there is a crack in the exhaust somewhere, the sound will change as it heats up/expands. I had this happen out of nowhere. First noticed a rattle at high rpm in drive. Once i shifted and revs dropped, id get nothing. Eventually it got worse and got the noise while in neutral whether it was hot or cold. Found my muffler had cracked along its seems on the top
