Default Exhaust debate?

Hey guys got a question, I know exhaust questions are probably asked too frequently and most of you would say just read the reviews, but I already have an exhaust. It's a custom SI/DO cat-back with a Flowmaster Super 44, and I like it for the most part, my only complaint is the drone under light acceleration and when I'm going about 75+. Depending on the weather (yes I said weather) I live in south Mississippi where it's very humid and it seems like during the summer my exhaust is much louder and the drone is ridiculous, like the muffler is right in the back seat. I can put up with it though, I've heard probably every exhaust clip there is and they all sound good to me, but I'm looking for a system that makes max power and torque, sound is secondary, do I have the optimal setup already? Please no offense, but don't respond to this unless you've had experience with multiple exhausts I know everybody has their own bias opinion. Thanks fellas !

The answer is no that is not the optimal setup. I have the Super 40's Flowmaster and love it.

For better performance..you could look to Magnaflow, Bassani, Roush, MBRP, etc. The magnaflows are the most restrictive of the bunch, an improvement over stock but still restrictive.

I would say a banks system would be optimal as I see that on "power hour" on spike tv constantly. They did the 08 F150 4x4 with banks exhaust, intake, chip, and put nos as well...

Yeah, I checked out the banks and it's a really good looking kit, a little pricey but I wanna see some dyno charts on that kit I guess I'm in the whole chambered vs straight through muffler, I mean gas motors do need a little back pressure to create optimal torque.

I love the sound clips of the mbrp, hey im curious you have a setup with chambered mufflers but you recommend straight through mufflers.

I do suggest if you want more performance. There is a minimal gain going a step up from what I have to a more flow through, I am just happy with what I have.

And as for going staight over to true duals depending on your setup and needs it might have a negative effect on your low end perf.

If you don't like the drone from your Flowmasters stay far away from MBRP. They sound GREAT but they do drone around 1800 RPM's I would have to guess more than a Flowmasters would. I had the MBRP SI/SO setup on my truck along with the LT headers and HF cats, it was more than I liked so I took it off and installed a SI/SO kit by CORSA. No drone at all but it doesn't sound as good IMO.
