Default Exhaust

Anybody know what exhaust would be best mainly for sound on these trucks? I have an ‘06 5.4 with the stock exhaust and it’s just not the sound I want. I was initially looking into an electric cutoff or completely removing the muffler, but then again I’d rather not fail emissions since I live in Utah now and will be moving back to Pennsylvania in 2 years. Both states it’s apprently illegal to have a cutoff since it’s not considered muffled. Mainly that’s the sound I’m going for, but without the chance of failing a visual inspection due to having no muffler or a cutoff before the muffler. So what would be my best budget setup to mimic the sound of a straight pipe while still being legal? Loud and obnoxious isn’t really my concern because truthfully I love the sound of a straight pipe at startup and going down the road at WOT.

edit:
i was just actually told by someone that they only do a visual inspection if you fail the emissions and throw a code? So could I get away with a cutoff?

I personally love the SLP Loudmouth 2 kit from Summit. It has a deep tone rather than the raspy, glass pack sound that most go with. Just me 2 cents.

Default best??

I like this one
I've had several performance sounding exhausts over the years
I used to have an exhaust guy
I put this exhaust on my 07 about a month ago
I'm very impressed with it, claims to be stainless? seems very well made
it sounds great around town and barely noticable on the highway
we'll see how long it lasts, my 03 has an eBay exhaust that only lasted about 3 years but it only claimed to be "aluminized"
