Default Exhaust?

Hey everyone, I am new to the forum and have a few questions:
(real quick here is the down low on the truck, 60K miles, limo tint, leveling kit, 35" MTs, 17" moto metals, canoe rack, and weather techs. Looking to get more lift like a 4" and do bumpers, winch, and spray in bed liner.

What exaust is everyone using. I was told to stay away from Magna Flow from my local 4wheel parts. What are you guys using?

What do you think about the Gotts mod? I have been tempted. Should i just go with a CAI or is gotts good enough.

****with both of these I am looking for sound and proformance****

Lift what should i do? Wanting a 4" (NO 6in LIFTS) cause the wife is short.

With all of these I am looking for brands, experiance and links!

Thanks guys!

Do the Gotts mod. What was 4wheel's reasoning to stay away from Magnaflow? They make a decent sounding stainless muffler. You can make a setup yourself really cheap. Read the exhaust thread and make an educated choice.

Here is the link. Do exhaust more for sound than performance or you may be disappointed.

I recommend an actual engineered and manufactured exhaust that has been specifically designed for our trucks rather than something thrown together, but that's just me. Obviously this would be the more expensive route. I would go with Corsa, B&B, Borla or Stainless Works.

Unless there is a lot of overhang on a leaf spring, most aftermarket exhausts should install no problem.

Stainless Works has an exhaust designed specifically for the resonance characteristics of your truck. We engineer and fabricate our mufflers in house and are able to design something that eliminates drone while giving you the right sound.

Give me a call if you have any other questions. 1.800.878.3635 X232

If you are looking for sound only, you can run straight pipes. Just be warned, it is LOUD. My 06 XLT is running straight pipes and it seems to set off alarms every time I get close to someone with a sensitive alarm.

The exhaust tips on the Stainless Works cat-back is second only to the tips on Corsa. Damn I love the look of those! Wish mine came that way.
