Default Engines?

I own a 2004 Ford F150 Supercrew Lariat. The engine i have in it is approaching 300k miles and i am going to replace it. I only have a few questions as to what i should do. Now the engine i have in it from factory is the 5.4l V8 with 3valves per piston. I either want to go straight up to a 6.2l V8 or get the 5.4l V8 with 4Valves per piston. The 3valve vs the 4vlave is quite a big difference. My 3valve is puting out 320hp and 390 torque. The 4valve i want to put is putting out 550hp 510torque. My question as far as that goes. Is the 4 valve a viable fit for my truck? And if so what else would need to be changed to alow maximum performance out of the 4valve. Would i need to change transmission and drive train components? Or would the ones i have be fine. Im just overly gettin swammped with this project and need a little bit of help.

Best bet is probably to check out mustang forums instead of F150. Those guys probably do swaps like this more than us.

Default 4v enginr

I am on my phone now an cant really search for it but there is a thread another member did about this. He was able to put a 5.4 4v from i believe an excurson (misspelled) in his f150 successfully. Just do a quick search an it should come up. Good luck an let us know how it goes.
