I thought I had my check engine light beat but. After a month of staying off the darn thing came back on ... I took it to the dealership and they told me there is a short somewhere in the wire harness and it would be cheaper to replace the whole thing rather then figure out which wire..

 

They quoted me $850.00 for the parts and labor including the original Diagnostic test.. My question is does this price sound right and Being a 2006 with 40,000 miles isn't this soon to be replacing something like this ?

 

I find it hard to believe they know that's what it is and not a signal Component somewhere ... How do they know there is a short but have no idea where ? Any Opinions would be Appreciated
