Default Engine Noise

I recently purchased a 2004 F-150 FX4 with the 5.4L and when I started it up, at first I thought there was an exhaust leak. Got it checked out by the dealer and there was no leak. When the truck is idling it sounds like a diesel. Dealer said it is normal fuel injector noise? Anyone else run into this or have any ideas for me? Valves?

Injectors are a little loud but most likely you're hearing the cam phaser's ticking away.

I have the same problem with mine. There is alredy a TSB on that noise and you can see a video with different sounds to see if it's normal or not. Here is the link : http://www.flatratetech.com/index.php?categoryid=4 , watch episode 22. it should answer your questions.
