Default Engine Miss

Hey Fellas-
Has anyone else had a engine miss or stumbling problem with a 5.4L? I have 89K on my 05 Super cab. This just started this week.
Thanks,
T

Change your plugs. The motor will miss and buck well before the check engine light comes on. Mine did it bad under load in 4th gear, thought it was the tranny, but new plugs sorted it out.

Most likely either a coil or plug. I always buy a new coil and try it on every cylinder untill the problem is fixed. If it isn't fixed then deal with the plugs. Sometimes these trucks won't throw a code right off. That's the route I always take anyways.

Hey Thanks-
It was a a coil. The engine light came on today, and threw me a code. Misfire #1 cylinder. Plugs were all changed at 70K, so I put in a new coil on #1, and I am good to go.
Thanks again,
T
