Default Engine blocks

I’m in the process of replacing the engine in my ‘07 F150. I currntly have in my possession an ‘04 Expedition, 5.4 3-valve. Are the engine blocks the same, or did Ford make subtle changes from ‘04-‘07?

Some late 07's could have 08 heads that didn't use the special long nose plug . Some mustangs had a 4 valve version i hear . There seems to be 2 different plants for this 3v engine and they had internal differences windsor or cleveland ? You really need an expert ford guy . The wiring harness /computer may be different . Like I said you need some one who has tried this or heavy duty ford man .
I just started a line to get those guys involved . Good luck.

The new heads were only on 2008 models with an engine built date of 10/09/07 or later, i'm pretty sure the Expo motor is the same.
