if you know what you are doing, you can just spray the box and you will only be able to tell the difference in direct sun light, but sometime you just need to do another panel and blend it in, like it you repaint the front clip, blend into the doors and you will never know it was painted.

shaving the fenders is quite simple, just need some welding, some grinding, and if you do it right, a skim coat and some glaze and it will be flawless and ready for paint. be damn careful welding new sheetmetal these days, it can warp real quick, oh yeah and don't even try it with a stick welder, mig all the way when shaving cars/trucks.

yeah, I need to get a new paint job. I can't decide if I should repaint it black or not. I also don't have 2,000+ for a good one.

only bad thing we redoing a new color is all the BS, taking off the box, redoing all the door jambs, etc.

2000 is dirt cheap for paint, i was quoted 7000 to have my truck shot antifreeze green, 3 coats of color, 2 clears, buffed and color sanded. i was ouch, maybe i'll just stick with gray

****t man. All I want is fix the dents and scratches probably 1 coat of primer, 2-3 coats of color and 2 coats of clear. I got quoted around 2500 I think. I don't remember exactly.

that's way overkill for that, how deep are the scratches? both sides of the box? tailgate too? rust? how many dents?

Some are deep, I mean basically it took paint off. I have scratches and scuffs and dents everywhere lol. I'll take a video one day of all of them.
