Default Eliminate oil level sensor

I have a 2006 F150 with a 5.4 flex fuel engine. I bought it used and through a long drawn out horror story had to have the engine changed. A used engine was installed and it didn't have the hole in the oil pan for the level sensor. The dealer told me that this was an option on the F150 and they would by pass it. They tried jumping a wire across but that didn/t make the check engine light go out. So they ended up pluged the sensor in and tied it up out of the way. Now my engine light is coming one for the oil level sensor. Does anyone know if this is an option on the trucks, and does Ford make a bypass plug for this?

They had the engine installed and I was ready to pick it up. I bought the truck on July 22, drove it 52 miles and the engine locked up. Dealing with CARS warranty ( this is a joke to call this a warranty) a used engine was installed which had a bad valve, had to get them to get another engine which was a fight then the current engine was installed and the problem with the oil pan. I needed my truck to pull my camper that weekend which is why I bought the truck in the first place and by this time I was fed up! I guess my question is, if this indeed an option on the truck, does anyone know if there is a bypass plug that will eliminate the sensor and give the correct resistance to the ECM?

I don't believe this was an option.
