When I start my truck all the gauges bounce at zero for a few seconds and the radio resets. this doesnt happen all the time either.
Any ideas?

Check battery connections, then your cluster module.

If its affecting clock too, which I believe runs through a separate cluster, then you're likely looking at a battery issue. How old is the battery?

I had a battery issue, tested good when I charged it and drove for a bit but was doing some weird stuff. Edge showed 11 volts after it sat a few days and it would not start. Changed out battery and everything is back to normal. What battery is in your truck? Mine is an '05 STX and it had a Motorcraft BTX-59, which I think was the original battery, and I replaced it with an Interstate MTP-65 which is physically and capacity wise larger than the Motorcraft. $135 is a fairly inexpensive investment as a first step in solving problem, battery that old is at the end of it's life cycle anyway and with a computer based system you need a good electrical power source..
