Default EGR delete

Hey guys got a question for someone on here. I deleted my egr by that this is what I mean. I took the egr valve off capped the header with a plug. I also had a custom plate made to block off the egr valve. I got nto my programmer and turned off the egr on the programmer itself. I got a code now that says egr circuit is to high. I can clear the code but it will come back on after a few times of running the truck. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this? Thanks.

Why did you delete your egr? The only time the egr is activated is during crusing speed. It fills the cylinder with inert gas "exhaust" basicly makeing it a smaller displacement engine making less nox "worst by product of internal cumbustion engines" and incressing fuel mileage. The only reason they delete the egr on the 6,0 power strokes is due to the fact they try to cool the gas with the cooling system from the factory witch when they go bad causes over heating issues that leads to head gasket problems.
