Default Edge Programmer.

I am thinking about purchasing a Edge Programmer soon. it says that you would have to move to higher octane fuel when changing up through levels 1-3. i am wondering if this is true and what will happen if i run lower octane fuel when i am on level 2 or 3? will this do damage to the truck or the programmer itself? Thanks

only the level 3 tune requires a higher octane fuel and i wouldnt advise you to run the level 3 tune on regular gas. it will cause detonation (spark knock or "pinging") and that will damage your engine if run like that for a long period of time.

Level 3 requires 91 octane or higher, the other 2 levels you can run anything. If you run level 3 without 91 or higher you will/could experience ticking.
