Default Edge Problems

Has anyone had an issue with the Edge Programmers, mainly the connection from the power cord to the display. My connection is disconnecting at times, due to the clip on the top of the cord. Next, The tape, or whatever its called that holds the pod on to the dash. It held for alomst 2 weeks, now it doesn't. As anyone used anything else to secure their pod?

I did not use the velcro attachments. There is wnough friction between the door & dash to keep mine in place

Wow that's a lot for just the cable I haven't heard or read anyone else having this issue. I bought mine used so I didn't have any velcro with it. I got some double sided tape to hold my pod in place because it pop out every now and then without it and sail across the dash not really but it would roll around up there. I have read a few post where they guys have mounted them in the ashtray and also in place (over) the cigarette lighter. I believe they deleted the whole lighter assembly and used the hole for the cable to come through.

Thats a pretty cool idea, I never would have thought to use that place. Like the first day I bought it, it stopped working. So, When I took it apart, the little tab wouldnt hold it in place. I'm using some duct tape (kentucky chrome) to hold it in place. As far as the double sided tape, I've ran into a few problems with it. Espically since its pretty warm here in TN, it gets hot inside the truck and that it loses its grip.

I had planned on using that space around the cig lighter for 2 switches. I'm planning on buying a flip-screen monitor radio and wanted to put the over-ride switch to play the dvds on on side, then another switch for a set of back up lights on my hitch.

Yeah mine came loose the first time I tried the tap but it's been holding great since I did it the second time.
If you don't like it on the dash shove it in your ashtry for stealth mode. It looked good there when I seen the pictures.

I bought mine used as well. I've never had an issue at all with it. The dash pod stays where it's supposed to and the cable stays plugged in. Sorry you guys have had some bad luck.
