I'd probably just be using the 87 oct performance tune, and I'd like to have it so I can adjust my tire size when I get my 295/70r18s. I would probably offer him lower than 150$, but even for 150$, it seems like a decent deal. I did some research, looks like you can still get updates and downloads for it online as well.
Hi.

Oh Snap!

Summit has these on clearance for only $199

http://www.summitracing.com/int/part...7151/overview/

You get a brand-new guaranteed unlocked unit with a full warranty.

Worth the $50 extra if you ask me ....

Well here's the link for this one: http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/pts/4444703204.html
It has a bunch of adapters and cables as well that cost extra to update it and load other tunes and stuff. He said with the adapters, he's pretty firm on 150$.

No other programmer requires an antiquated DB9 serial connector to work - they all use a standard A-B USB cable.

Showing it's true age, lol.

Sorry - I'd pass - yer likely not gonna be happy later on....

Yer truck - yer money.

This is true! But for a soon to be college kid's broke budget, this would easily be better than nothing. Yes no doubt, I'd definitely I'd prefer a new edge evo, but that's way out of my budget for now. Just changing the speedometer and reading codes would be useful, and a little extra performance boost is just a bonus. I did some searching and I've seen them recentlyish sell on here for prices like that. So it's not like it's a bad deal.

I bought one in the same situation your in, just for ***** i plugged it into the computer and downloaded the software program from PHP and updated the programmer. The update warned it would set it to stock and clear any custom tunes so i went ahead with it. A few minutes later it finished, plugged it into my truck and all was right, you may want to give that a shot!

I think we're talking about two different things.
I'm gonna hold off on a programmer for now. Spending 1k on tires is enough right now, and I'll buy a programmer later on. Seems like deals like this aren't all that uncommon.
Thanks for all the help guys! Gonna wait it out and do it right the first time

Ohh okay! Man you got lucky that you didn't have to pay the money to get it unlocked. Yeah, that was originally what my thread was about but it kinda turned directions when the dork sold it without telling me lol.

Well anyways, I told that guy I wasn't interested in it, but if he decided to come down on the price he should let me know. Well he texted me and said "100$ is the lowest I'll go and then it's yours" Lol, so much for him being firm on the price. For 100$ I can't say no, so I'm getting it tonight and I'll let you all know how it performs!
