Default edge evolution questions ? after installed

hey so i was setting-up an edge evolution http://www.edgeproducts.com/product....ion+Programmer
this one that i got used the other day and had some issues since it needed updates ect.. anyway finnally got it set-up and the battery died so i couldnt try it out..not sure if it was the -10 weather or the edge that did it..so as i reprogrammed it again i noticed on the bottom it said 1 warning left..i renember seeing that when i got it with 4 warnings left..wtf is this all about ? anyway it seems to be good to go at this point and i also wanted to know which level is best for al around driving.. it states 2 is for towing but also for better gas milage while 1 is just for transmition..ive also read that there are some issues with transmition problems with the unit im assuming this is from using setting 3 mostly since it seems extreme..what would be a save setting for better all around gas milage and driving ? ty

I use level 3...just drove a round trip of 800 miles which I have done several times without the Edge and I am getting better mileage now. Never set to level 1 and haven't tried level 2 for the trip yet. I think the warning you are talking about is the screen warning about the use of the Edge...it comes up 4 or 5 times at first and then goes away.

I use the 1st setting cuz of the good throttle response and hard shift points. Makes it alot quicker without the "extreme" gas wasting lol

I just installed mine Monday. Have it set to Level 2 87oct shift firmness +1 33" tires Gotts mod....after a few days I'm getting 14.2 ampg. Before I was at 11.6 ampg. This is driving on small town roads and back roads in weather below 30*. Very happy with mine.

To the guy who said Level 1 and better throttle repsonse, isn't level 1 tranny only, as in it doesn't touch the stock afr programming?

Yea level 1 is just to help the tranny "last longer", so it says in the manual, Im getting about 12-13 mpg city and around 15-19 highway with level 2, surprised since i am running 35's, and stock gearing of 3.55 (hopefully I re-gear this summer).

Nope i live in a rural city for now (college). but my Edge Evo is saying that is my average, i reset it every once in a while. I have the 4.6l which the ratings of MPG are the same as 5.4l.
