Hello everyone. My good friend is selling his Edge programmer out of his 2008 F-150 FX4. I am wanting to buy it off of him and put it in my 2007 F-150 Xlt. Both have the 5.4. Before I drop the cash on it, I want to know if it will work since it has been programmed to another truck. Also, if there is anything else I should do to make the install easier? Any information at all would be great as this might be my first programmer ever.

 

Just make sure your friend puts it his truck to stock so no other vehicles are on it. I got mine used. Works great.

 

Do you mean, make sure he puts his truck back to the stock or the programmer back to stock?

 

He has to reset his truck back to stock (level 0 on the programmer)

If that doesn't work, you can have it done by PHP for $40 or so

 

So if he sets his truck back to level 0, I can then install it in my truck and use it, correct? What is PHP?
