You won't notice much of a difference with a cai without the custom tune. The programmer is hands down worth it! Especially if you ever plan on changing the tire size. Also look at the php forum you may be able to get a used gryphon for a good price.

A programmer is the way to go with a cai, but I installed the cai before the programmer and i noticed a huge difference in throttle response!!

Okay good. I was surprised too, how much better it ran with the custom tune.
Wish I could afford to run the 91 Cai, unfortunately I just can't resist stomping on that damn pedal.
