Can someone who has an Edge and that has used the USB cable to connect it to a computer tell me if it takes a special USB cable, or if it just has a general USB connection? I'm looking at buying a used one and the guy doesn't have the original cable and I was wondering if I could use just a general one instead.

Also, the little 'L' brackets that come with it...do you have to have those to connect the pod to the dash, or will 2-sided tape work by itself? I've watched the installation video on the Edge website and it shows these as parts that come with it, but they don't show you using them when they install it in the video. All they used was the tape.

i have the edge u can go to best buy and get a cable all it is a mini use like what most cams us and for the pod i did not even us that stuff it not worth it if u want to take it off later but it u buy it and plan on doing more mods i go and get ur edge up dated to a gryphon all the diff is that it is recased then it can be custom tuned to ur truck like i have a cold air efan and exhaust so then the u will see the power but i will tell u it is well worth the money to go get the edge programed to the gryphon u will **** how much more u can get out of it hope this helps man

 

yeah, its a standard usb. You can see the plugin on the side.
The pod is secured with double sided tape. I don't have the pod and just used velco to stick it to my dash.
