A there a way to unlock an Edge Evo without paying $99 to Edge? It seems like it would be easy to recreate a hex code and unlock it. Or even a way to just completely wipe itself of ever being connected to a truck. Thanks

 

Considering there is over 500 HEX codes for the 04-08 trucks there isn't an easy way to recreate the HEX.
Completely wiping of ever being connected is what Edge or even Bill at PHP can do. There's no way you can do it yourself, that's just the breaks.

 

I have their fusion software so I can go into the code and signal the command for the software to be unlocked, maybe? I'll mess around with it

You can signal the software all you like. Edge is the only one with the ability to unlock it. Trust me, Bill helped make the program that way when he helped write things for Edge.

Even a truck with the same HEX will not be tuned with whatever the Edge left behind and will have its stock tune. The Edge won't recognize if it isn't the tune that it left behind there. Kudos for trying to be creative, but you're just going to have to bite the bullet on this one.
