I just bought a used edge evo off someone on Craigslist for $100. I have it installed now and am running it in tune 2 tow tune.
But my question is how do I make sure it is up to date?
When I bought the evo all I got was the evo, cable to plug into my OBD, and the pod
And lastly, how do I disconnect it from my truck, do I simply shut the truck off and unplug it, or do I have to set it back to stock or something? Thanks

 

Not sure on how to see if it's up to date, so maybe someone else can help on that.
But once you have the tune loaded, you can unplug the Evo whether the truck is on or off. It'll stay programmed on the level 2 tune until you change it. No need to return it to stock.

 

I'd return it to stock before updating it.

 

Set the evo back to stock and unplug it at the mounting pod. Go to the edge website and find product updates and download the fusion one. Once down loaded plug the USB cord in and into the comp and run the fusion and it will update it as needed.

 

You will need to download Fusion from the "edgeproducts.com" site.
Will need a USB to mini cable to connect Edge to computer - these fit many other devices so you may have one laying around. Mine came from TomTom unit.
Before you can check for updates on Fusion, you must "return to stock" mode before unhooking your Edge. Fusion will not update the unit unles it has returned to stock.
The update may take up to 30 minutes. Just did mine and it was less than 10 minutes.
