Default Edge evo caused trans error?

I've got a question for the experts in here. I've got a 07 fx4 SC. It has 63,000 miles on it. At about 62,000 I added an air raid CAI and an edge evo tuner. Never had a single trans issue until after about 700 miles after adding the mods. What are the chances that the tuner caused my trans to fail? I took my truck to the dealer and they rebuilt the trans but I am weary to put the tuner back on the truck. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Driving my truck for a few days without the mode make it seem like a dog.

Ive been driving my truck with the Edge tuner for several thousand miles with no issues at all. I would guess it was a coincidence.

not tranny related, but if your running your edge with an Aftermarker CAI, your gonna need a custom tune from power hungry performance. you'll run the risk of running lean.

When I scanned it with my scanner it said fault torque converter clutch solenoid. Looking at the parts list they rebuilt the transmission and the rear end. I've had no problems running lean either.

Do you run an a/f gauge to know that? These trucks are very slow to throw a lean code, Troyer has seen one go 19:1 at WOT on stock tuning and not throw a code. If you are running the tow tune it can help negate some of the effects but not totally.
