hey guy. I just bought a 2006 f-150 XLT 4.6L V8. I am planning on getting a boat sometime soon. Ive been looking seriously at getting a edge evolution programmer but Im not sure if it's worth it.

I'd like any feedback from people who actually have one.

increase HP, Torque, MPG.....? How much of an increase.

Also...dumb question....Do you just have to plug and go?

 

Hey, I had an Edge Evolution for my '05 king ranch, with the 5.4 3V. Not sure how it affects the 4.6, but for my truck it was like turning on a whole new part of the engine!

It would accelerate harder, quicker. no problems when I wanted to pass someone on the highway, just touch the gas and it would drop a gear or 2 instantly and push you into your seat. It was a blast to drive, compared to the stock engine.

I think it improved my mileage. went from around 16, to about 18? but Im in Canada so Im trying to convert from Metric. but you will probably lose interest in better MPG once you get that rush from touching the GO pedal!

Definitely a GOOD buy.
Im just waiting for Edge to make a programmer for the 2010's. I just ordered one yesterday.
