We talking TBI era GM engines here?
Don’t overthink this. If you swapped one engine for another, the computer won’t know.
The problem is what you didn’t plug back in. Assuming you swapped same displacement engines.
PS. Please give background on what got you to this point and what those “ghost codes” are.
